At GownEdits, we want you to feel confident every time you shop with us. We offer a 30-day return window so you can shop with complete peace of mind.


Returns (30-Day Window)

We accept returns within 30 days of your delivery date.

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet ALL of the following conditions:

- Unworn, unwashed, and unaltered
- All original tags still attached
- In its original packaging
- Accompanied by your order confirmation or proof of purchase
- Returned within 30 days of the delivery date

How to Start a Return

Subject line: Return Request — Order #[your order number]

Once your return is approved, we will send you:
- A return authorization confirmation
- Clear instructions on how to send your item back

Items returned without prior authorization will not be accepted and will be sent back to you.


Important Sizing Note

Please review our size guide carefully before placing your order. We provide detailed measurements in inches for every style.

We strongly recommend measuring yourself before ordering to ensure the best fit. Color may vary slightly from screen to screen due to monitor settings — this does not constitute a defect and does not qualify for a return.


Damaged or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery if:

- Your item arrived damaged or defective
- You received the wrong item or wrong size

Email us at support@gownedits.com with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will offer a free replacement or a full refund — no return required in most cases.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

- Custom or made-to-order dresses
- Items that have been worn, altered, dry-cleaned, or washed
- Accessories (jewelry, shoes, undergarments, hair pieces)
- Final sale or clearance items
- Gift cards

If you are unsure whether your item qualifies for a return, email us before sending anything back.


Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges at this time. The quickest way to get a different size or style:

1. Initiate a return for your original item
2. Place a new order for the correct size or style


Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you by email whether your refund has been approved or rejected.

If approved:
- Your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days
- Processing times may vary depending on your bank or card issuer

Return Shipping Costs

Unless the return is the result of our error (damaged, defective, or incorrect item), return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.
